最近從朋友處得到了一份Oracle10G的Beta版本.在安裝過程中,碰到了一個小插曲,寫在這里供大家參考.
我的機器是PIII700,Windows2000+Service Pack4.
點擊Setup.exe之后,出現(xiàn)的窗口信息如下:

從中看出,Oracle居然不支持Service Pack 4,不過按照常理來說,Service Pack新版本都是和舊版本兼容的.稍加分析,可以斷定這是個小Bug.在Oracle的這個Beta版本出來之前還沒有Service Pack4.
看看第一行信息,使用的是G:/Oracle10G/Disk1/install/win32/oraparam.ini這個參數文件,那么是不是一些條件的邊界值是在這里定義的呢?
找到該文件,打開,分析一下,果真是定義的一些檢測系統(tǒng)的邊界值.發(fā)現(xiàn)有這么兩行:

可以看出,定義的是Service Pack的版本.OK,把它修改成:
SERVICE_PACK=1,2,3,4
重新運行Setup.exe .看到驗證信息如下:

已經通過.安裝......
再回過頭來,分析一下Disk1/install/win32/oraparam.ini這個文件,可以看出安裝的最小條件是:
CPU=300
256色分辨率
在NT4上安裝需要SP6
從中看出Oracle10G在Windows平臺上可能新加了一個檢測文件．利用這個文件內容判定操作系統(tǒng)是否符合安裝條件．
不知道正式版本中是不是這樣．
