Solution
NOAGE is a new priority setting that has been made available to a subset of database vendors to allow their processes to NOAGE (scheduling policy 8), but not have their processes run as RTPRIO (real-time processes). It is necessary to prevent batch database processes from being degraded in priority over time.
The earliest version of Informix which allows for this setting is version 7.12. An HP-UX patch is also needed for versions 10.X and 11.X. The original HP-UX 10.20 patch is:
